Week beginning 1st Nov 2010:
In English we are working on narrative writing, concentrating particularly on writing powerful descriptions. I am encouraging the children to carefully read their work back to see if they can spot any silly errors such as missing words. We will be doing quite a lot of visualisation this week to improve descriptive vocabulary.
In Maths this week we are looking at properties of numbers and discussing things like prime, square and triangular numbers and finding common multiples of different numbers. We are using Venn diagrams to help us sort sets of numbers.
